I don't have a problem with it in this format. It sounds like it wasn't in the class room. It was something that students had an option of whether or not they wanted to go. I think that people should be exposed to different ideas to decide what they think about them on their own.

I can understand people wanting this to be completely out of schools though because people do otherwise have access to it at churches if they really want to though.

How old are the kids?

TBH, I'm glad these "optional" events weren't around back in the day. I would have been expected to "voluntarily" go. I imagine a lot of these kids are in the same boat.
