Have you ever even once heard your K-8th grade child or any other say "hey mom, can I have your Facebook account information so I can reminisce about that time I went to the first day of 3rd grade?"
None of this is about the kid today. It's the image. It's an arms race. It's pretty annoying when you ponder this mindset on varied levels. JMO

When they are adults they will appreciate having such easy access to those photos and memories.

Get the frick out. It's all about the kid. You're absolutely right that people who ponder this are annoying though.
