Ginsberg by reputation and his influence on subsequent generations of poets. FWIW, Burroughs said he wasn't part of the Beat Movement, but just a mentor to Ginsberg. I know he's often categorized as Beat, but it riled him.

Among my other Beat favorites is Gregory Corso: "Bomb" and "Gasoline" are among the top 5 poems of the Beat Generation in my opinion.
