Like others mentioned, no one that you might possibly shoot will ever notice the difference between a .40 and 9mm. Yes, the .40 does pack more punch, but it is negligible. 9mm is cheaper to shoot, easier on your gun and with the right bullets will do just as good of a job as a 40.

Solid advice. You guys have convinced me. I'll go with the 9mm. Saves me a little money. That's a bonus.
