Meh - just go early or late! Either way you have to keep going or you'll never improve. Those of us who have success in fly fishing put a lot of work into it - for me its a big reason I'm so passionate about it. You don't want to have just spent all that money and stop after a few frustrating trips.

Been out of the country for a couple weeks and unfortunately missed the green drake hatch in the catskills Was really looking forward to that one.


I'll be back at it this weekend and will post up some pics. May just chase smallmouth since they're running well now.
