re: Landrieu wants to give Robert E. Lee the ol' heave ho

I would seriously listen to an effort to remove the Lee statue. I'm not a close-minded dude.

Here's my problem though: Landrieu, like so many politicians, will speak loudly about the low-hanging fruit du jour. But the removal of the Lee memorial won't repair a single REAL issue in New Orleans. High violent crime rates come from high poverty rates, which come from poor schooling. Speaking of schools.....City Hall cares so much about schools that over half of the school zone lights in Orleans Parish are either inoperable or malfunctioning.
