I actually live two blocks from Minute Maid. There isn't a ton there as far as restaurants, etc. lots of parking so that shouldn't be an issue for you.

Vic and Anthony's is a great steakhouse

If you're looking for more laid back stuff, walk down St. Emanual (southeast of the stadium) a few blocks. There's a Lucky's Sports Bar, Woodrow's bar, and a couple other spots. More into downtown there are nice restaurants. Towards the Toyota Center there is a Pappasito's as well as a House of Blues and a couple of bars on that block as well.

Overall the restaurant/night life scene isn't really built up around the stadiums here like a lot of other cities.

There is a bar that opens up right across from the stadium as well on Gamedays. It's just more of an outdoor beer garden type deal with ballpark type prices tho.

I'll be at the game as well and prob chilling at Woodrow's before and after.

Thanks you. I saw that Homeplate spot that looked like it had horrible reviews. Reading good things about Lucky's. We will only be there for pre-game drinks/lunch. Probably going to start there and park near there.

Flying Saucer is a good spot for sure, they had one in Nashville where I just moved from last month.
