They can't even market established ones, with plenty of source material ( Star Wars ) which they then totally ignore to interject their take on modern social and political views.

And here's a fact to remember - Solo lost money.

Solo had setbacks, increased budget due to those setbacks, and a horrible, horrible marketing plan. I think the first trailer for it came out during the Super Bowl when it released the following May.

I believe this is the case. And I wish it weren’t. They’ve yet to get people interested in these projects. John Carter wasn’t that bad.
