BATON ROUGE, LA (WAFB) - According to documents from the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office, 22-year-old Jevonte Domond, an offensive tackle for the LSU football team, was arrested and charged with felony domestic abuse with strangulation.

A deputy spoke to the victim that said Domond choked her and battered her after a heated argument. 

The victim stated he grabbed her from behind her neck and lifted her completely off the ground by her neck and she began to lose consciousness. That is when she said he dropped her on the ground and she "almost blacked out."

Documents say the argument continued and the victim claims Domond would not let her leave, after asking several times. 

She told deputies that is when she maced Domond with pepper spray. She says he picked her up and slammed her on the couch and bit her. She told deputies she maced him again in self defense.
