re: How many credit cards do you have?

9 with ~$125,000.

I usually carry 3 and use 2. I'm heading towards only using 1, but as long as Citi keeps giving me 5% off on Amazon and restaurants, I'll keep using that one. I usually open about 2 per year to milk signup offers. I used to use several cards to max points, but as I get busier and cards get less giving, it has been a lot better for me to just have 1 good card that gives ~2% back.

I keep a lot of old ones open so that I can keep my credit history up.
