War of the Roses was a complex war between two dynastic families. I don't really see that many direct parallels. There are more than two families in GoT and there hasnt been all the battles. There's no real parallel to the Nights Watch, dragons, the wall, the winter zombie things, the slavery issue beyond what we imagine.
But War of the Roses ended with a battle and a triumphant king who had some familial ties to both families, so I don't even know who that would be in GoT.

"The White Queen" was a good Series on at least part of the story. Agree that GOT is only very loosely inspired by War of the Roses, it's more about the general idea of Houses and a political and actual battle for the throne amongst multiple claimants. The Wall is based on Hadrians Wall but Hadrians is tiny by comparison.
