I have seen Mariota for 3 years. We had more injuries to our OL last than any other year in 3 decades. We had an all new wr core and a true frosh Rb. Mariota didn't set his feet after the 1st read because it was Run, Mariota, Run. He masked a ton of deficiencies.

Mariota can run all he wants but this is nfl speed as well, I don't think it'll be easy out running the defense then finding a guy 30 yard down the field wide open every time.

Deficiencies the Titans also have, but he can't run away from them in the pros.

I'm not disputing any of that. But it's not getting any easier.

He was always going to have a learning curve but now he's already being pressured to be a starter. I really don't know what the Titans are thinking. Again, I believe the move came from ownership and not Whisenhunt or his scouts.

Mariota's one of those guys that really needs that old-school treatment of sitting for 3-4 years behind a vet. Maybe they'll come to their senses about that.
