Medical experts say it's impossible for person to break own spine in back of van

ok.....but the man did request medical attention during the ride.
why would he attempt to break his own back after asking for help?!
most likely scenario is, since the victim was not secured in the back of van, he slid forward during a stop or 2, slamming into an immovable object resulting in fatal injuries....
basically, cops were negligent in keeping prisoner safe during transport and not likely they'll be able to weasel out of that charge.
