First time kayak fishing in Delacroix

I was looking to take my kayak out to Delacroix to go fishing. Does anyone have recommendations on where to launch from and where to go.

Sweetwater launch and go south down gentilly. You can head to the left or right off gentilly and fish the broken marsh for reds.

Whats the depth of the marsh there? I swing that way to hit the double canal and never had any issues with depth.

If you can spare $25, join Bayou Coast Kayak Fishing Club (BCKFC). They have a list of kayak launches on there. Once you find a launch, just check out the nearby spots with Google Earth.

What I kayak fish in is anywhere from 3" - 3'.

Terrible area. Don't even waste your time.

You're right. Y'all just go to Lake P.

Grass is thick as heck in Delacroix. Go to Hopedale instead.
