Lsunurse thanks for all the sound advice and input. She has been a stay at home mom and she's ready to get her degree. I told her it wouldn't be easy to work full time and get the BSN but she can do it

Good luck! I'm def not trying to discourage her. Just wanted her to know the trends going on in nursing(at least what I see out west). However....things could be different in LA. I haven't worked there in 10 years so I can only comment on what I see out west.

It will be tough, but very much doable if you stay focused. Nursing school in general can be tough. I found regular classes at LSU much easier than nursing school. I was used to casually looking over notes and studying the night before an exam and acing the exam at LSU. Not the case in nursing school.

She's going from doing nothing at all to school and work full time?

She will quit one of them, you bet your arse on that.
