Starting to slide into a grayer area, but I'd say it's a sport since they are all running simultaneously.

I guess you can call diving a competition, but I do view track as a sport. Although parts of it (hammer throw, discus) seem more like games.

The Olympic Games are called the Olympic Games for a reason though I guess. There are a lot of things I'd classify as games or competitions.

Golf being one of those, as well as darts and bowling.
