That would be ideal, but as stated they are a few thousand more on the used market.

I really think you should stick with the inline 6. I don't know much about the 4.

There is a reason for this.

Buy a blown one and have searchers do the 3.4l toyota v6 swap

The 4.0 is the best engine ever in a jeep. The way it is looking, it is the best that will EVER be put there.

Just a heads up, if the 4.0 isn't in ypur price range, it is unlikely you are ready for the yearly repair bills either...
