So Dale gets all of the blame for his teams underachieving but no credit for his teams that "overachieve.". Got it. For every embarrassing loss you can credit him with, there are probably 2-3 ESPN Classics-worthy games. Basketball was epic under Dale Brown. What he accomplished and did for the sport in this state really isn't debatable.

I commended the over-achieving but also pointed out the under. Being up over 30 against Kentucky only to lose that game was the worst coaching I've ever witnessed. Props to the years that he succeeded. I think back to those last four horrible years that he was at the helm and had it been anyone else they would have been fired.
