I am NOT saying you (or the trainer) are wrong.

But, I did hear Coach O on a radio interview and he was asked DIRECTLY what he was doing in this regard (gain / lose weight) nd what instruction he has given the players.

Coach O said he has not told them anything in that regard. That Moffit was completely in charge for Sprng.

he said ONLY after working the players out in Spring Practice would he make evaluations and direct players to lose / gain weight.

He said he could not make those decisions without putting them through drills and practice. He even said that watching film wouldn't do it. He needed to have 'hands on' with them to determine it.

I agree that his on field evaluation this spring will help him decide what needs to happen with players weight, but I believe we need to change something about our approach and philosophy with d line. We have been very average the last two years in terms of production

Moffitt has a lot of influence and with Brick and Chief gone I think he's started to mold Herron back into the DE he's supposed to be that will fit the scheme better. Herron looked sloppy with all of that weight he had to gain.

THIS.

Listened to the same interview. He said some guys might need to trim down and get in better shape, while others might need to gain more muscle and get stronger. Every player has different things they need to improve on.
