quote:Don't really know how you could say this about her. Sure her timing of leaving Frank was awful. But you could see it coming a mile away.
I would add that Claire is just a fricking count.
I feel like this season we had way too many situations going on. I liked it. But I don't know where they will go from here. Especially with so many characters just abruptly disappearing.

Frank has handled worse. If you guys haven't noticed, I'm completely in on #teamunderwood. He should be president, and will be. I doubt he goes down. He's overcome too much and leaving the season on that note only shows that Frank has hit his breaking point, and I don't mean that in a negative way. He's become who he really is: the tyrant and genius he is.
He'll handle Claire, win New Hampshire, use his team and have a successful term. I doubt that he falls. If he does, I'll be surprised. Everything that went wrong this season was Claire's fault; without her making herself a burden, things go well. And with her gone, he'll only be more free to be the Frank we saw in season 2. I don't know how, but he'll beat her and accomplish everything he'd like. I think he's assassinated, yes, but by a lone gunman without Claire's interference. Claire will quickly realize that she has no moves to make without Frank, and without crucifying herself. She'll shut up or fall in line.
Petrov hated Claire; suddenly she's gone, and that means Frank can do amazing things with Russia to boost his ratings. Never forget that Frank is always ready for every contingency: his plan to move for the presidency was in place before he was denied the Secretary of State job.
