LE, I think 5lbs/person is a good amount if youre including sides. Onions, celery, carrots, garlic are all very cheap at produce stands. Mushrooms are usually $2-3 for the blue box size. Obviously sausage can add up. Not a favorite of mine but plenty like hotdogs in the boil and they are pretty cheap. Potatoes are around $1/lb. Frozen corn is relatively cheap and we only use it to help cool down the pot.
I have a boil at my place every spring and we usually have around 100-150lbs. With sides and beer and all the random shite you need for whatever, it usually comes out to $400-500. Biggest price factor is the crawfish.
