Yeah, Collins had a good season last year compared to his previous years, but he will have to get coached up in the NFL to become an effective NFL CB or he'll get torched worse than Simon. Only thing I didn't like about last season was how he played Amari Cooper. I know Cooper finally broke out and was great this past season(I still don't think he is no OB3 or even Landry) but Bama fans probably think so. Anyways Collins played Cooper scared and you can't do that. Go out and be aggressive. If he beats you he beats you on a route, but you can't play scared letting the guy have his way like he did in that game.

8 catches 83 yards and 1 TD. The TD was a mistake that accounted for 23 yards and the lone TD. Cooper averaged 123.36 yards per game and 1.14 TD's. 83 yards was his second lowest yardage output of the season. Hargreaves at Florida is considered the #1 corner in next years draft class. Their matchup was supposed to be one of the better of the season. Cooper went for 201 yards and 3 TD's.

Amari was better than both of those guys in college. I doubt he has the rookie season of Odell, but Cooper's play this year was second to none.

No he played him cautiously, which is what you do with a guy that can potentially break any catch into an 80 yard TD. Not sure what game you watched, but Cooper in no way shape or form had his way. Probably his worst game of the season next to Arkansas. (Which was more of a team playing like shite situation)

I'm pretty sure it was the play-call and position that didn't help out Collins. If we we're in zone, Kiffen would call an audible for a Cooper slant. If we we're in man, Kiffen would go for a seam. Cooper was highly targeted that game. I thought Collins did a good job. That's just pure nit-picking. PP didn't have great games against Julio Jones or AJ Green either. As I recall, Julio Jones dominated PP last year. Collins has the tools to be great- everyone acts like he can't be coached to become a good corner. Look at all the late round draft picks (corners, safeties) that were successful in the NFL. shite, an undrafted rookie won the Patriots the Superbowl.

It's more than just talent. There's IQ, work-ethic. I've never seen or head Collins complain at all. You should all be grateful that he's repping DBU. Even a 3rd string corner can become a first round draft pick. I'm sure that will be appealing to recruits.
