I've actually had this problem for years. Saw a couple different orthos. Went in a few times for injections/nerve blocks which may have helped a little. Actually went to physical therapy for a while. They did trans-rectal coccyx manipulation, I shite you not, which hurt like an MFer, and other stuff that never really helped. Eventually I got to where I manage it. I've got memory foam coccyx cushions in the car and a special office chair (they do make them). As long as I'm careful, no pain. I think it's gotten better with time too, but you won't see me taking any long bike rides. Coccygectomy surgery is the last resort, but I'd recommend babying it for a few months and see if it settles down and becomes manageable. My ortho said most eventually fade away, but it may take a few years. The memory foam coccyx cushions on Amazon are great, thicker the better- use two if you're a big guy. Sorry no quick fix.
