247 Rankings are out for 2016, not sure if posted or discussed but I searched and haven't been on in a few days.

4 of them will drop to 4 stars after they commit to LSU. Lol joking LSU will have the number ranked class this year.

I am not seeing 6. Which ones?

Half of them won't be 5 stars once they sign with Lsu.
Why is Shea rated higher than franks

3 in state players with 5 stars looking like 2 headed to Division rivals - Carter and Shea.
I could deal with losing kids to Michigan, Stanford, TX or Notre Dame but losing Top talent to Division rivals really bites.
Hopefully, our staff can turn the tables on Carter.
Done with even thinking about Shea as he is gone to OM with his brother. Just hope that Franks sticks and actually makes it to campus.

It's not over with Carter and even if he does stick with bama are you really worried about LSU having a ridiculous corner class next year? They'll sign 3 top flight corners no matter what.
And on Shea, Franks is our guy and has been from the jump. Might as well rock with the kid who chose to be a tiger

I don't see but 3 we lead for. Alexander, Oliver an Joyner. Not sure the other 3 that were indicated.
Patterson I everyone already knows we don't lead
Deontay Anderson-some say we lead but the folks that would really know will tell you Bama is gonna be hard to beat and they lead no matter the public thought
Monroe-kid has publically said TAM leads even though some TX folks believe LSU does. I could go with this being one of the 6 but I'm gonna side with what the kid says and say TAM leads. He admitted he almost committed last week
Carter-as long as he's committed to Bama we don't lead
Didn't really see anyone else we would even be presumed to lead for.
BTW, those rankings are the composite which I like but don't consider 247s rankings. 247 does a better job than the other 3 services combined and since the composite uses rivals, scout and ESPN they are not my preffered rankings. I prefer 247s actual rankings. To each their own though. None are infallible

If we don't beat bama next year in recruiting we will never beat them. This is our best shot.

I thought franks and Fulton were 5 stars...read it wrong. I think they both get 5th stars, along with Rashard lawrence. All 3 are very close and we lead for Anderson imo

Shavar Manuel will be one to watch. Ed o has already visited him once and will continue to do so.

According to 247, LSU is "targeting" 6 5*s - LB Joyner, DT Alexander, QB Patterson, S Anderson, S Monroe, and DT Oliver. LSU leads for 4 of the 6. LSU is not currently leading for QB Patterson or S Anderson.

I want Bosa. We probably don't have the slightest shot though. Love the way him and his brother play.

Can go along with that. Also believe Franks will get a 5th and think Fulton will definitely be in the conversation but with only 32 you have to think they are gonna trim the CBs down to maybe 2-3 at the end.
Also can get with the Anderson part and have heard from some that we lead but Bama is a major, major factor and his ties to Sheffield, Brown, Smith and Thompson has to make you worry. At this point i trust the ones sayimg Bama leads over the ones leaning LSU. I just don't want to get strung along like we did with Brown and TAM did with Sheffield. My take on it is follow the Landon Collins/Can Robinson path. If any if our top targets are considered leans to Bama in the summer and BOL is adamant about it all along even with contradictory stuff out publically, prepare for the Bama silent to be in effect. They do it every year. Have a kid silent and play along the rest of the year.

I've watched Dee Anderson and he is a five star receiver. Kid is so damn smooth with great hands and height, and it is going to be a battle to keep him IMO.
Him and Franks should be 5 stars when it's all said and done. Alexander and Oliver (damn this dude should be higher, he is a beast) stay 5 stars and might get higher. We lock down at least one 5 star DB, and Joyner will be a top 10 player nor matter what. Right now I'd say we have the possibility of signing six 5 stars.

I hope you are right, but after what happened 2 years ago, you never know...

It's going to be a battle for that spot. I see 9 guys on that top 100 that are pretty heavy Ohio State leans and I'd be shocked if they don't get at least 7 of them.
