Very true. Interviewed with Wells Fargo for a "Credit Analyst" position. It was a joke. Interviewed with the regional bank. It was a fulfilling position with 10K + higher pay. A lot of times the larger banks the job will provide a much more limited experience (co-worker used to work for BB&T and all he did was spread) while the regional banks you can gain experience in underwriting, portfolio management, etc.

Holla at me when you get set up.
I wanna get into the retail electronics arena. I need some capital to get it going though. I'm thinking of calling it Buy More. May even grab a Subway franchise and throw it in there.

My employer has a program, but all of our Finance Associates are located in Birmingham. It is a 2 year rotation through 4 areas of the Finance Department, 6 months in each. So you don't hit all areas of Finance, but most of them.
We generally recruit in state, mainly at Auburn and Alabama, but they have recruited at Samford and UAB as well. The program starts every August, and after the 2 years you are placed in an area that you've worked in during your training program. I think you can request certain areas, but getting one of those isn't guaranteed. Let me know if you'd be willing to relocate and I could get you in touch with HR.
