No one including doubts he needs to develop and work on his preparation. That can be said about the vast majority of incoming freshman. Most you never hear about. He was put in the spotlight and has basically had his character challenged which is crap. Those of us who know him, know he is a higher character kid than most adults. We just don't like his reputation being smeared. He's one of the best young men I've ever met. I get where David is coming from. He's standing up for his kid because he feels like LSU has thrown him under the bus this year. You can question whether he should have gone public you can't question him standing up for his kid.

He wasn't standing up for "his kid" He isn't his kid any more. He was grandstanding. And it blew up in his face for being a loud mouth. Which might explain to some degree why he is a high school coach. Counseling to run and hide in he face of adversity doesn't sound like good advice to me. Perhaps that is Feaster's (sp?) personal MO?
