Departments should use technology like this. How many cops have been sought out using waze? Only two that I know of from NYPD. How many have been hit directing traffic or working an accident scene? A HELL OF A LOT MORE. It could also be a simple way for those on the street to interact with the public in a non confrontational way. The benefits to this are huge and the cost is zero.
