House Build ... Credit Card discussion

Wife and I are about to embark on a self-build. Father in law and mother in law will be helping a lot as we will be living with them.
I already have the Amex BCP and Chase Sapphire Preferred.
I am considering getting a new card for my wife and in laws and I can buy things for the build. We are also going to get two Home Depot cards (due to the 10% off the first purchase). My wife and I will each get one when we make major purchases (like windows for example, which I have priced cheaper at HD).
Anyone have any experience with this and have a good card to recommend? The interest rate does not matter, I just want to have one card for the build so there will be less reimbursement to do at the end. And I want to either get usable points or money back. My default right now would be to get a CSP for everyone.

I carry a Fidelity American Express that gives 2% cash back on all purchases.
I can't follow all the gimmicks and have little need for a vanity card.
I do agree with your HD idea. I would also recommend you take a list of materials around to the smaller, independent lumber guys and shop them too. You could ask them for cash discounts.

You can also easily find Home Depot and lowes 10% off coupons
You can even buy them on eBay for little to nothing
Do you have a stine around you?
They have tax free weekends every few months and their material is pretty cheap
Eta: for a 2% cash back card, check out the citi doublecash or double pay..whatever it's called
It's a new offering
