how I do it is still wet shaving isn't it?

I would say no - because it is a term of art. "Wet shaving" strongly implies either DE safety or straight razor and actual brush, soap, cream, etc. not a can/hot lather, whatnot.

There are some cats that use catridges with a wet shaving soap/cream in a bowl applied with a brush - but even those would be considered hybrids.

What you're doing is what I would call "late 20th Century" commercial shaving.

If I get a good shave from them, and millions of men do, why is it less than optimal?

While we've gone into some things in the thread - there is no way to get the same quality of shave from a cartridge as is possible with a DE or straight razor. Heck, I realized that in the 80s when my barber would use lather and a shavette to do my neckline. I thought "man, my face could never be that smooth" - and now it is.

You may disagree, but as I've done both types of shaving, I tend to defer to my opinion, particularly for my face and beard.

Where did I attack or degrade how you do it?

Sorry if I jumped the gun with you, Sarge - we typically get one or more "too cool for school" cartridge defenders in the thread who call us "Dapper Don" or whatnot.

I'm in here reading the posts to learn

I'll try not to lose sight of that.

We cool.
