I disagree. My son has played travel baseball for the past three years. His coach is Rus Johnson. Rus is 5'8" and he has said that if he can make it to the big leagues, anyone can. Of course, he lived and breathed baseball from a young age. When his friends in high school were going out on Friday nights, he was going to the batting cages.

He ended up being a great ball player at LSU and a 1st round draft pick by the Astros.

Sorry but you don't make it to the majors at 5"8 without crazy good genes, no matter what a coach tells kids to make them feel better.
