One of the only things missed from the historical context was that Doc was shot and wounded during the shootout, however it was not reflected within the movie. Also since first seeing this movie years ago, and reading the actual history of those involved, I remain amazed that Wyatt Earp lived his whole life without having been so much as grazed by a bullet. Truly astounding considering the towns he worked and the lawless time he lived in. He was on the wrong side of some unsavory individuals during his time.
