He's certainly not a savior. I felt he was a bit overrated coming out of high school. He's not a great player, right now.
However, outside of Mickey and Martin (who both might not be here next year), LSU's front court is not very good. Him coming in and providing a little more talent and depth can only help this team going forward.
Deep and talented teams are the ones that win a lot of games in March. Victor has some talent and will add depth. It's a good day for LSU basketball.
Will he ever be a great player here? Almost assuredly not. He's not that kind of guy. But he will hopefully be a serviceable big guy for us.

If he can't even make it onto the court at Arizona what makes people think he's going to be a major contributor here? By next year our talent gap with Arizona won't be widely different.
