I feel like we are having two different conversations here. You focused on one part of my first response to you and ignored the much larger part of it. Then you bring in jaded out of left field. I don't know where you got that from.

There were many good popes but also many bad ones. It was a political post rather than a spiritual one for a long time.

I loved Pope John Paul II and liked Pope Benedict XVI. I have yet to find a single redeeming quality of Pope Francis I.
