Second revised list.
With 19 commitments, there are 6 spots left.
There seems to be 14 players still in the mix.
QB T Gibson 6-4, 204 FL 4*
RB K Merritt 5-11, 206 LA 4*
WE D Charlot 6-0, 193 LA 4*
WR D Dillon 5-11, 173 LA 4*
OT T Weathersby 6-4, 295 TX 4*
DT J Washington 6-3, 290 LA 3*
DT TD Moton 6-2, 310 LA 3*
DE A Key 6-5, 230 GA 4*
DE P Wanogho 6-8, 250 AL 4*
DE D Jackson 6-6, 245 TN 3*
LB L Lewis 6-3, 225 MS 4*
CB I Marshall 6-1, 190 CA 5*
S J Peters 6-1, 206 MS 4*
S J Reid 6-0, 193 LA 3*
Of these 14, I see D Charlot, J Washington, D Jackson, and L Lewis as the best bets to join the 19 commitments, leaving 2 spots.
This gets tricky, but I will go with DE A Key and S J Reid to round out the 25.
QB - 1
J McMillan 6-1, 170 TX 3*
(lose out on T Gibson)
RB - 4
D Guice 5-11, 207 LA 4*
N Brosette 6-0, 207 LA 4*
D Ducre 5-11, 238 LA 4* (FB?)
B Bouton 6-1, 230 LA 3* (TE, but moves to FB)
(lose out on K Merritt)
WR - 4

D Charlot 6-0, 193 LA 4*
J Ferguson 6-5, 205 LA 4*
L Fournette 5-9, 170 LA 3*
(lose out on D Lodge and D Dillon, stays w/UF)
TE - 1
F Moreau 6-5, 225 LA 3*
OL - 4
H Shipley 6-5, 283 TX 3* OT (TE, but moves to OT)
G Brown 6-6, 253 OH 3* OT
M Teuheme 6-4, 340 TX 5* OG
A Magee 6-5, 315 LA 3* OG
(lose out on T Weathersby)
DL - 4
A Key 6-5, 230 GA 4* DE
D Jackson 6-6, 245 TN 3* DE
I Washington 6-4, 240 LA 3* DE
J Washington 6-3, 290 LA 3* DT
(lose out on D Mack, TD Moton, CC Jefferson, K Phillips, P Wanogho)
LB - 1
L Lewis 6-3, 225 MS 4*
(lose out on A McGinnis, seems LSU never wanted him)
CB - 3
K Tolliver 6-2, 185 FL 5*
D Jackson 5-11, 175 LA 4*
X Lewis 6-0, 175 LA 4*
(lose out on I Marshall, K Sheffield, H Hill, U Umadi, and J Martin)
S - 2
J Cutrer 6-2, 170 MS(JC) 3*
J Reid 6-0, 193 LA 3*
(lose out on J Peters)
LS - 1
B Ferguson 6-1, 235 GA 2*
This is a class of 25.
3 5*
9 4*
12 3*
1 2*
An average of 3.56
Many might be disappointed with a class average of 3.56, but I like this class. I'd like to get players like T Gibson, T Weathersby, D Mack, TD Moton, C Jefferson, P Wanogho, I Marshall, and J Peters, but they are reaches at this point.
I still like who we get instead.
This class is very strong at RB, WR, and CB. It is solid at DL and OL. More LBs would have been nice.
A lot of trust is being put in the improvement of Jennings/Harris and in S Patterson/F Franks.

Only real candidates on that list
Gibson-very, very slim
Dillon-50/50 according to most but I still feel he flips
Weathersby-i think we get him
Key-we lead, he's visiting Auburn next week and an Auburn insider cbed him to USCe. Kids recruitment is as wild as any I've seen
Prince-honestly think him waiting until after is what tips us over and we get him. Not too concerned with Auburn. Bama is the threat IMO. Almost everyone close says Bama is starting to put their plan in place to get him. That's usually no good for anyone but Bama
Jackson-word is that we have cooled and its Stanford/Candy but he hasn't said it so he stays on the board for now
Lewis-im more confident than I usually am with MS kids but still think he sticks or flips to MSU
Peters-lets see if he visits
Reid-slim but who knows with his visit next week. Truth be told, Oklahoma, ND and Stanford want him a lot more than we do and have shown him as much so in no way would I be upset if we offered and he spurned us. What happens when you slow play a kid the way we have him, especially considering we aren't likely to fill the class and haven't been for months
Merritt-never had a chance and don't know why anyone ever lists him as a possibility. Kid wants nothing to do with LSU and I've never heard that our staff has pushed him at all since the spring
Charlot-whether public or not he's already recommitted to Bama. Even our staff knows. Tim Watts cbed him and that my friends is a lock
Washington-not even on the boars unless its the biggest secret of the year
Moton-we don't want him and he don't want us. He's going to commit to MSU but he's going to juco
Marshall-hes going to USC and has been for 2 years.

Final 4 Spots, ranked in order of probability:
1. WR Dillon
2. OT Weathersby
3. TE Moreau
4. LB Lewis
Other shots
5. S Reid
6. WR Charlot
If we do get these last top 4, we'd have a class of 25.
5* x3
4* x11
3* x9
2* x2
That's a class average of 3.60
(3.74 excluding the 2 specialists)
