You believe that there is a spiritual essence to every living thing. Humans are spiritual by nature, not religious. That spirituality underlies all manmade religion. The winter solstice is a time to celebrate that inherent spiritual nature that connects all of humanity. Religion divides. Spirituality unites.

We now know, since Darwin and that other thing, evidence by the ton, that there was never a garden of eden. There was absolutely no Adam and Eve. No apple or snake.
So, there was no original sin. There was no eating of the forbidden apple. No salvation necessary. The whole tale collapses on itself.
