Ed's Donuts on Essen (Baton Rouge)

I just noticed this place a few days ago in the same shopping center as Zorba's and Ichiban, so I stopped in today to try it out.
Not a huge selection, but good enough for me to have several choices. I only tried the glazed (standard but very tasty) and the blueberry cake donuts (loved these). They had some very prettily decorated frosted ones which of course the kids loved. Also some basic kolaches and some type of burrito which I might try one day.
The man and woman working there were very nice & pointed out that they also offer some Thai dishes at lunchtime. No menu on that available, and it looks like they have just a few things.
Overall I'd put it on par with Mary Lee, but I think it's worth trying if you're in the area (or stuck in traffic on Essen and want an escape!).

Kolache
How do you pronounce that word?
I've heard people say co-lawshh, and recently Kuh-lah-chi.
