I read this before in the army times. Seems like the army is shifting towards more lighter infantry brigade combat teams

Classic Army: trying to be something they are not.
Let the Marine Corps take the expeditionary role and let the Army do the big and heavy standing army missions.
(not just poking at the Army, as the Marine Corps is guilty of veering away of their mission and purpose too)
