Are you really going to tell me that you can't see that winning 2 SEC Championships and a National Title, and the Sugar Bowl is better than 1 SECCG and a national title?

I don't disagree, but that is a different argument. 2001-2003 was LSU's rise to national relevancy.
They are both great periods in our recent history, but one is not laughably better than the other. You used the word success, which is measured by championships. 3 Championships > 2 Championships.
