The AP championship is as meaningless
Obviously I was talking about the BCS era. Wasn't that made obvious by my mention of the Crystal Football?

UPI/Coaches Poll awarded the crystal football before the BCS.
And I did say in my post that USC's AP national title is as legitimate as LSU's BCS title. Both human polls had them at 1. It was the product of a flawed BCS formula at the time.
