The problem with the laundry list of excuses is that they contradict each other.

"Our QBs are just young"-- LSU should never be in this position. If the recruiting and development at the position is done correctly.
" Our QBs just suck" -- Then why are they on scholarship?
" Our QBs can't grasp our pro-style scheme" - Well come up with something they can grasp. You get paid millions and this is the best you can come up with. Give me a fricking break.

I honestly don't think he can adapt. And the problem this time is he doesn't have a scapegoat that he can fire when the going gets tough. He's got his buddy that he pays a shitload of money and who from all reports agrees with him on the offensive (lack of) scheme.

Point to 2013 numbers all day long. But doesn't explain the issues LSU has had in the past or the issues they have now. The was a perfect storm of a JC transfer and two studs on the outside that could beat their man on most plays.

They don't know what they want to recruit. They can't keep who they recruit here. They can't develop the ones they do get here. They can't come up with a scheme to fit the skill set of what they have.

They know what they want. Finding him and convincing him to leave state and not be the focal point of the offense is the conundrum.
Its not like they arent looking under every rock to find this guy. Lets look at just the last 2-3 yrs. Indiana, Kansas, Georgia, Los Angeles, Alabama,Texas.
Sure would be a little easier if the state could produce one occasionally.

Yes.

There is literally no job in the world where you can use your past success to stop doing your job properly in the present. Literally none.

You are the highest paid employee in Louisiana. We should not be having these problems. The first sign of a decline/loser mentality is when you're relegated back to "remembering the 90's" and "we can't compete for championships every year" or "we're not like such and such school" or "this wasn't going to be our year anyway". Give me a break. That's what losers say.

I will not except mediocrity. I will not accept an offensive shitshow.

One thing I am happy about, is that there is no one else left to fire. So now the train stops at one place.
