But anyway, his point is that what Bama has built and accomplished under Saban isn't exactly a fair measuring stick to try and stack up against. No other program has really been close to their success since 2007. Using them as a barometer is unrealistic and will almost always end in disappointment.

They have played for 3 National Titles and won all 3, all having been good matchups or good fortune. They have won 2 SEC Titles during that Time.
LSU has won 2 SEC Titles during that time, and played for 2 National Titles....winning one.
Auburn has won 2 SEC Titles during that time, and played for 2 National Titles...winning one.
If resumes would have been used in 2011......the official stat line today would read LSU 2 SEC Titles and 2 National Titles. Bama 2 SEC Titles and 2 National Titles.
You act like they are just light years ahead of LSU and Auburn in terms of success....ahead yes, significantly no......Auburn has also played some really good teams in the NC game.....Bama has been very fortunate (a common theme), playing Texas in 2009 and Texas losing their star QB early in the game...getting the rematch in 2011, and then playing a joke for the National Championship in 2012.
That's what the hell I'm talking about.
