Maybe. I liked the Real World - didn't love it, liked it.
It all has that reality stink on it now,and of course, shows like that aren't going to age well. But they're very cost effective.
Now, with the merger of true reality television and the gameshow (also a cost effective product, extremely popular with the "suits"), it will remain a dominant form of television for the foreseeable future. There are so many channels with so much demand for content that anything that is barely watchable will make it somewhere.
I find it tough to believe that shows can still get cancelled - I mean they're willing to make it - somebody has to be out there wanting to fill time, right?
