The difference is every one of the above programs significantly share that fertile recruiting area with other home town, in state schools. LSU is a one horse state with more big time players per capita than anywhere.
Then why hasnt every lsu coach had Miles' success. You know since any idiot can do it. Winning at lsu isnt something that you just roll out of bed and do. When Miles was hired lsu had won 10 game twice in over 20 years.

Because every era is different and each coach enters under different circumstances. LSU, at one time, lost its significant talent to other schools. DiNardo changed that with the signing of Faulk and Saban started the trend of dominating the state. Miles has done an exceptional job of continuing that trend.
LSU has the best players or at least as good a players as any team in the country and that is a tribute to the staff maintaining the level and the brand that LSU has become. The knock on Miles and staff is simple, how can you have the best players in the country at 21 positions and be inept at placing a guy under center than can take you to an even more elite level?
We are one game away from finishing LAST in the SEC West. That should never happen in the greatest era ever in LSU football history. With even average QB play we are sitting on multiple NC's right now.
