In the younger years, we open and add to a savings account for them, along with a couple of books for a hands on gift..Especially if family is many.Parents, grandparents, aunts,uncles and friends. Ours get so much stuff along with clothes, etc. Birthdays and Christmas time are just loaded down.Also give a silver dollar for Christmas.
