Just passing through, but this is a double shotgun statement. You say the church keeps Africans from using condoms yet I'd bet the official position is against rape, yet Africans disregard that one.
Therefore I surmise the lack of condom use has little to do with the church and more to do with the fact Africa is a very fricked up place.

The church is a fricked up institution and Africa is a fricked up continent so they compliment each other in their dysfunction very well.
