Again, don't disagree with these comparisons - but it's "something else" - I mean, Tool is one of my favorite "heavy" bands, but they're "something else" - I'm not sure they would belong on this list. Stuff like Lamb of God and Machine Head are on the list of bands I recognize as capable, innovative and even influential, but not my cup of tea.
ETA: And Pyromania is my favorite album, brah.

If you disregard AC/DC, I think Lamb of God fits the list just fine.
The list isn't limited to classic heavy metal (e.g. Judas Priest, Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, etc.), because it obviously includes some of the music's most extreme subgenres. Heck, Napalm Death is arguably the least metal of any band listed.
