I'm just trying to understand the point of "baseball is dead" threads - are the players not getting paid? Are the owners not turning a profit? Are the networks not turning revenue off the advertising?


Until there's a YES to all three? Baseball isn't dead.

a 9 billion dollar a year industry. Same as the NFL.

Baseball is 'dead'.

baseball is regional and has been for awhile. If the Braves just played game 6 there'd be a massive thread ongoing.

It doesn't capture the national consciousness as much anymore but that doesn't stop people from showing their stupid cards by declaring it dead.

The game will have to start making changes if it wants to work it's way back into the national picture, but even without it, it's doing just fine.
