Would someone please explain "if it fits your macros" for me. I am old school and just count calories most of the time. TIA

It's a dietary philosophy that says you can eat whatever you want as long as it fits the required percentage of macronutrients for your goals in the day. Everything fits in to either fats, protein, or carbs.
It's a very simple concept to follow, but it's fundamentally flawed because it doesn't take into account types of fat, bioavailability of protein, cholesterol, sodium content, glycemic index of carbs, etc.
