I know for a fact that on Tuesday night (a potential clinch night), it was the #3 ESPN story behind the first FBS playoff rankings (on ESPN), and NBA opening night (on ESPN).

I just find that funny because Ryan Rusillo was ranting yesterday about people who think that ESPN's publicity decisions are based on the things that they have rights to and that these decisions are dictated by management.

Or maybe that there are more CFB and NBA fans right now than MLB?

That's a bunch of crap and we let ESPN get away with it. They invent news about popular things, such as the "unveiling" of the first playoff poll. Just like with Tim Tebow and Johnny Football. They're popular. They have big audiences. So is it really right that Johnny Football getting first team reps during training camp gets to be the top story of the day?
