From the 35 it made a bit of sense. From the 20, none.

You again prove that you are not the brightest of the Rantards.

When kicking off from the 35, Domingue routinely puts the ball out of the end zone, therefore negating any chance for Kentucky to get a return.

When kicking off from the 20, there is no way Domingue kicks the ball for a touchback, thereby giving Kentucky a chance to set up a return.

By squibbing the kick, you give the other team much less chance to set up a return...they are likely to just field the ball, get minimal yardage, and run the clock out.

The only dangerous thing to do was to do a full kickoff and risk them running all the way back. That was the only way they could hurt us with that little time left on the clock.

that is why it made perfect sense. It would make ZERO sense to do it from the 20 when you can basically guarantee no return.
